Buckhorn Tourist & Info Centre

Project Description

Kawartha Capital was awarded the contract to construct a new tourist and information centre in Buckhorn for the Municipality of Trent Lakes. The intent of the design was to blend the building into its natural landscape surroundings, using natural wood materials. Low maintenance materials were selected for interior washroom facilities and special care was taken to integrate the mechanical equipment to blend with the overall design concept. Even though site conditions required additional excavation and engineering, we were able to complete the project on time for the scheduled public opening.
